Arab and Middle Eastern weddings are joyful, family-centered and full of tradition. As a wedding planner in Washington, DC, Northern Virginia and Maryland, Yamal Events plans these celebrations with care for every custom, from the zaffe entrance to the last round of dabke.
We design receptions that balance tradition with modern elegance: a grand zaffe entrance, dabke and live performances, a kosha or sweetheart stage for the couple, traditional Arabic coffee service, and seating plans that honor large families and guests of honor. We coordinate your venue, caterer, DJ and performers, so the night flows smoothly from the entrance to the cake cutting. Explore our full wedding planning and décor services.

Many couples celebrate across several events. We plan Nikah and Katb al-Kitab ceremonies with elegant, intimate setups, and henna nights (Laylat al-Henna) full of color, music and family traditions.
For Ameen & Eaman’s henna night, we designed a red and white palette with a red rose arch framing the couple’s seating, traditional Palestinian embroidery woven into the backdrop, and a cultural display of patterned textiles and traditional coffee pots.

Every Tradition, Planned With Care
Whether your families are Palestinian, Lebanese, Syrian, Jordanian, Egyptian, Iraqi, from the Gulf or from across the Arab and Muslim world, we take the time to learn your customs and plan the celebration around them. From separate or mixed seating to halal catering, prayer space and the order of family traditions, every detail is planned with respect.

For our Nikkah day, she created an amazing floral-themed stage—a soft, romantic setup with a white rose backdrop, warm candles, and tasteful gold accents.
